PSA: Bikers & Taking a Lane

I’m all for bikers (bicycle riders). I regularly ride a bike through the city. While more drivers do need to respect bikers, it’s also important that bikers respect cars. The following video shows just the opposite.

A woman on a bike, barely moving faster than a brisk walk, insists on taking a lane down Bainbridge Street. There’s nothing wrong with a bike taking a lane while moving at a decent speed. When you’re going like 6 mph, move to the side an allow the cars to pass. If you don’t, you’re just being a tool.

Can’t we all respect each other?
