Jeremy Hellickson Stays and So Does His Music!

The MLB trade deadline came and went without the Phillies making any deals. That means the one chip they had, Jeremy Hellickson, is still here and so is his at-bat music.

Hellickson is a kid from Des Moines, IA. He went to Herbert Hoover High School in Des Moines. You’d think he’d come to bat with songs by Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryant, or Kenny Chesney.

Nah, Hellboy don’t roll like that. At Hellickson walks to the batter box and Dan Baker announces, “Now batting, Jeremy Hellickson” songs by T.I. and Drake fill Citizens Bank Park.

While not a Drake fan, 0 to 100 might be his best. And, who doesn’t like a little T.I. While I’m a little disappointed Hellickson wasn’t able to bring a top 5 prospect to the Phillies, I am grateful I might get another game or two to hear his jams. There’s always the possibility of a waiver-trade.

Check out Hellboy’s at-bat songs.
