Jayson Werth Waiting For While Strasburg and Harper Sucked

Went down to the Phillies game Monday night ended up meeting a buddy of mine who was trying to get a Jayson Werth 2008 card signed. I waited with him after the game. I figured it would be an easy get since there were only about a dozen people waiting to get something signed. Half of the people were kids.

Stephen Strasburg is kind of a dick. He didn’t pitch that night and was the first guy on the team bus. This is him entering the bus.

Strasburg cruised right past the people so that he could sit on the bus that wasn’t going anywhere any time soon. He doesn’t have to sign. He didn’t. He did, however, walk onto the bus, not even acknowledging the two kids at the front of the line wearing Nationals gear, so that he could sit there for twenty minutes before the bus went anywhere. He was there a good ten minutes before anyone else even entered the bus.

Bryce Harper seems to have learned his fan etiquette from Strasburg. No acknowledgement of the fans asking for his autograph. Granted, there were two or three pure autograph seekers there, but a chunk were kids. Nats fans, to boot.

Both of them could learn a bit from first base coach Davey Lopes.

They can all learn a bit from Jayson Werth. This is Werth signing everything fans had for him later in the night as he exited the team bus.

Werth doing the 2008 team proud.

[UPDATE] I’ve heard that Bryce Harper actually signed stuff on another night. He’s not as much a dick as Strasburg is, apparently. Stras didn’t sign either night.
