Cameron Rupp is a Troll

Cameron Rupp had a nice year last year for the Phillies and has been in the system for 6 years. That’s the Philadelphia Phillies. Ya know, the same town that has the Sixers, Flyers, and Eagles.

Rupp is from Plano, Texas so he’s basically born in raised in Dallas. That’s not his fault, so we can’t hold that against him.

However, thanks to the heads up by Provolone Joe on twitter, we can hold this douchebaggery against him.

and this.

and this.

It goes on and on and on and on.

This guy was drafted by the Phillies in 2010. He’s played nowhere else professionally. He currently has slightly over 13,000 twitter followers. I’d wager that the majority of those followers would be Phillies fans. I mean, he’s not really a league-wide household name behind the plate like Buster Posey. I wouldn’t think there are many University of Texas baseball fans following him, especially since he started playing for the Phillies in 2010 and didn’t join twitter until 2011—a year removed from U.of Texas.

Rupp would have to be a moron to have spent so much time in Philadelphia and not be aware of the Cowboys/Eagles rivalry. In fact, he knows it annoys people and he doesn’t care.

This seems to be a problem with Phillies players. We’ve been this before with another self-centered, inconsiderate Phillies player when Dom Brown tweeted this to his mostly Philadelphia followers:

His team is doing well. Good for him. He doesn’t have to throw it in Philly people’s faces.

TOTAL VIOLATION HERE. Cheer for your team. There’s no need to be an asshat and troll to the fans that support him. Phillies fans didn’t crush him when he hit .214 from August til the end of the season last year. They deserve a bit of reciprocal compassion and empathy from this dude as they watch their football team struggle.
