Young Guns in the Spa?

If you’re a Phillies fan, you know the farm system isn’t highly thought of throughout major league baseball.  However, some of the young arms give reason to be optimistic, particularly Jake Diekman, Justin DeFratus and Jon Pettibone.

All three seem like good guys.  Diekman has taken some stone-busting via Twitter pretty well after he made it known he was glued to his TV watching American Idol.  We’ve tweeted back and forth and he’s casually promised to watch the AI finale with me in Philly if he’s on the big-league roster.  I ain’t holding my breath, but I’d love to see his 97 mph fastball back in Citizens Bank Park sometime this year.

The three of them have given cause for concern due to some tweeting going on today, regarding their afternoon activities together.  Man dates? Pedicures? Come on, fellas…ya’ll can’t be rolling like that! How are you gonna intimidate the likes of Giancarlo Stanton and Freddie Freeman if they know you like grabbing pedicures on off days.

What’s next, Stitch ‘n’ Bitch afternoons with some tea? If ya gotta do these metrosexual activities, for the fans’ sake, don’t tweet about it. Tell us your in a hyperbaric chamber getting healed up.  That’s easier for us to handle.

This might be their first Violations, other than Diekman’s AI, so go easy on them.  They’re good kids with good arms!
