Thanks, Taney Baseball!

ThanksTaney

I felt refreshed, like I just came back from a ten day vacation or retreat.  I had a smile on my face.  Life felt great and I owed it all to a group of little kids from Philadelphia and the Little League World Series.

Baseball had become a source of frustration and aggravation.  Even in wins, the Phillies found ways to frustrate all of us Phillies fans.  The salaries, the botched trades, the poor defensive plays, the vesting options, stupid post-game comments, all of it just sucks.  The summer, at least for baseball, was miserable.  And then came Taney.

Taney reminded us all of the greatness of baseball.  Taney gave us hope in the bleak, hopeless baseball world that Ruben Amaro has created in the Philadelphia area.  Taney was pure viewing joy, such a great ride!

I would like to thank the entire Taney squad for representing Philadelphia with such class and for giving us a couple of weeks of fun baseball. You made my summer.  Thanks go out to:

You guys took our minds off the horrible Phillies season.  You gave us something to look forward to after work, and even cut out early from work for! It was such a pleasant surprise.  In regard to sports, I don’t know if I’ve been prouder to be from Philadelphia.  Thanks, again kids!  You too, Taney coaches…helluva job!

Unfortunately, we have to go back to the Phillies now.

Don’t forget to help support future Taney success by DONATING.  Any amount helps.
