Sunday With No Eagles

Any good Eagles fan involved in a relationship knows we have to maximize our Football Sundays when the Eagles have a bye or play Sunday Night or, as this week, Monday Night Football.  Our partners, if they don’t enjoy football, grow weary of the inability to do anything on the Sundays from September to February.  I utilized a bye week to get married.

This Sunday, my Sunday, was probably like most Eagles fans.  I’m pretty certain of it because I ran into buddies doing pretty much the same thing.

I started off with a pack walk through FDR Park.  This weather is solid, though it’s gotta be the calm before the Polar Vortex.  The foliage down at FDR is off the hook right now. That’s right, I went foliage. Forget we were actually still in the city with the mutts. The Park had a real Vermont look to it. FDR is under appreciated in this city.

photo 1Next up, Whole Foods.  This place is a nightmare on Sundays.  Parking spots are scarce, lines are long. I did run into a dude who was taking up a parking spot at the Whole Foods lot so he could shop at nearby Super Fresh. Dude wouldn’t let go of his plastic bags. He hunched over and rested them on the floor while he waited for the elevator.  I doubt this dude was an Eagles fan.  Here he is doing the same thing in the elevator.  Keep in mind, this isn’t an action shot.  He stood like this for the duration of the elevator ride.

photo 3I had hoped to get home in time for the second halves of the 1:00 games.  That didn’t happen because both our iPhone chargers shit the bed during the week. I went to Apple to see if I could score a reasonably priced charger that wouldn’t keep alerting me that I wasn’t using an Apple Supported Charging Device like the ones I scored at Best Buy.

An hour later, I walked out with these and they were covered under the Warranty! I missed most of the 1:00 games, but I had free chargers.
