WEEKEND PICK: In the Mood for a Disco Tragedy?

It’s a full moon, a lunar eclipse, a comet and all kinds of stuff. It’s also the Philly Tattoo Convention this weekend. To help kick off the weekend is New York’s Tragedy at the Underground Arts. Tragedy features the vocals of NYC legendary rocker Corn Mo and is a headtrip of a disco covers done metal. I’ve seen this band twice and it’s always an amazing show. The musicianship and showmanship is sick while Corn Mo is probably the greatest metal voice you’ve never heard. He’s toured with They Might Be Giants and been featured on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. The band does through in a couple non-disco songs in the set, but the majority of songs would be heard on a Stayin’ Alive Pandora channel.

Tickets are $20 and Tragedy hits the stage about 11:30. It’s worth it. Check out some of their videos:
